Meet Kim

I never expected my path to include graduate school, MAD Magazine, a university classroom, and a yoga studio—but looking back, they all taught me something about how people learn. We learn best when we're curious, when we're willing to laugh at ourselves, and when we feel welcome enough to keep showing up, even when something is hard.

I discovered yoga while I was in graduate school as a way to balance the demands of academic life, and nearly twenty years later it continues to shape how I move through the world. After years of teaching throughout Omaha, I opened Skylight Yoga to create the kind of studio I'd always hoped to practice in: a welcoming neighborhood space where regular people genuinely feel they belong and can grow over time.

I hold a 500-hour certification through Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have been teaching yoga for nearly two decades. I'm also a full-time lecturer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I teach writing, literature, and mindfulness. Whether I'm in a classroom or a yoga studio, I love helping people discover that learning doesn't require perfection—it simply asks us to stay curious and keep practicing.

My hope is that Skylight becomes a place where you feel challenged, supported, and genuinely at home.

Come as you are. Grow from there.
